If so, then you have a good chance of becoming Egypt’s Young Chef Culinary Ambassador.
Culinary Ambassadors represent their country at prestigious International culinary competitions. The Egyptian Chefs Association is now selecting talented young chefs to be trained for the African Young Chef Culinary Cup 2017 and the Africa & Middle East regional finals of the WorldChefs Young Chefs Challenge.
Procedure for selecting Egypt Young Chef Culinary Ambassadors
Phase 1 – Applications
14th till 26th March’17
Applications should be submitted to the Egyptian Chefs Association before Sunday, 26th of March’17
Submitted application forms will be reviewed by the ECA Board of Directors, Culinary Committee and Egypt Young Chefs Club.
Phase 2 – Interviews
27th till 30th March’17
Selected candidates will be invited for a personal interview and will need to complete a theoretical test.
Phase 3 – Boot Camp
3rd & 4th of April’17
Selected candidates will attend a 2-day Boot Camp for the final selection.
The Boot Camp will include a test of knife handling skills, a mystery basket competition, team building games and a final personal interview.
The maximum age to be eligible as a candidate so as to compete abroad as a Young Chef Culinary Ambassador is 25 years of age. Preference will be given to chefs of 23 years of age or younger.
