ECA chef members and friends joined Chef Mohamed Hamed, ECA Culinary Instructor and Executive Chef of Steigenberger Golf Makadi, for a hands-on workshop in making delicious burgers.

The workshop started with sharing some handy tips on how to prepare and shape the perfect burger patty, followed by professional guidelines on how to fry a burger that is well-cooked but still moist.

During the practical session, participants made a variety of burgers which used beef, chicken, turkey and vegetarian ingredients. They also learned how to make interesting flavor combinations for the toppings and condiments. Also explained was how to bake breads for the burger bun. These were different from the usual sesame soft bun so the advice provided participants with a complete solution for serving a variety of creative burgers.
