Message from Chef Essam Sayed

Dear Chef Colleagues and Friends,

I would like to announce my acceptance of the offer to join the team of Mövenpick Resort Taba as Executive Chef, starting October 20, 2012.
I have spent 3 years at Marriott Hurghada, and we accomplished wonderful things there with the help of the great team of chefs and stewards, and with full support from the administration throughout that period. I believe it's good for a chef to move to different culinary environments as, in this way, one can gain more experience and meet more challenges, while learning to work under any circumstances without any problems.

Thank you to all who supported our work, and I wish to inform you that I will continue in my capacity as Chairman of the Red Sea Chefs Chapter, the Egyptian Chefs Association branch at the Red Sea. My colleagues will assist me in handling all the work and I will coordinate and follow all activities as I will be available during my monthly vacation for 8 days every 24 days; for, with my family there, I will remain a resident of the beautiful city of Hurghada, while also maintaining my annual visits to my beloved Aswan, the city where I grew up.

Wish me luck, and God willing, we will work together to enhance the standards of the profession in Egypt and raise the awareness of the role that chefs play in the advancement of the country.
