ECA Hosts Executive Chefs Sohour Gathering

The Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA) recently hosted a special Sohour gathering for Executive Chefs from across the Hurghada region, reinforcing the Association’s commitment to strengthening collaboration and advancing the culinary community in the Red Sea.

Held at Iberotel Casa Del Mar Resort, the event brought together leading chefs in a warm Ramadan atmosphere that blended hospitality, networking, and strategic dialogue about the future of the region’s culinary sector. The evening was proudly sponsored by Melts Premium Ice Cream and United Trade Company, whose contributions helped make the gathering both memorable and impactful.

A highlight of the evening was the Sohour buffet, where attendees had the opportunity to experience the sponsors’ products firsthand. United Trade Company showcased its premium meat processing varieties under the Delizio brand, featured across several buffet dishes. To conclude the meal, Melts Premium Ice Cream delighted guests with a wide range of flavors, including distinctive oriental varieties that demonstrated the brand’s creative approach to dessert innovation.

Beyond the culinary experience, the gathering served as a platform for the ECA to present its vision for developing the Red Sea’s culinary landscape. During a presentation, the Association outlined upcoming initiatives aimed at strengthening professional skills in the region, including specialized culinary workshops, advanced plate presentation training, and essential soft skills programs focused on communication and modern kitchen management.

The evening also featured several important announcements. The ECA revealed the re-establishment of the Red Sea Committee, which will support regional engagement and professional development activities for chefs. Plans were also announced for upcoming individual and buffet culinary competitions designed to highlight the talent of chefs working throughout the region.

In addition, a strategic partnership was unveiled between Melts Premium Ice Cream and United Trade Company, with United Trade becoming the exclusive distributor of Melts products in the Red Sea region. The event concluded with the signing of a Diamond Sponsorship agreement between the Egyptian Chefs Association and United Trade Company, strengthening our long-term collaboration in supporting culinary education and professional excellence.
