All burgers must comprise a ground beef, a chicken, meat, fish or vegetarian patty, served on a bun or other bread.
A burger may include any combination of condiments such as ketchup, mayo, mustard, spreads such as pesto, sauces such as barbecue, and toppings such as onions, tomatoes, etc.
Competitors should use at least one Heinz product.
Heinz product range will be available in the kitchen.
All ingredients and specific utensils for the competition must be provided by the participants.
Pre-minced meat can be brought to the competition but should be flavored onsite.
Products of the side dish might be precooked or blanched, but should be shaped, seasoned, or breaded if applicable on site.
All ingredients will be checked for suitability and hygiene aspects by the judges before the competition starts.
Competitors have to submit a written recipe in English, which includes the ingredients and method of preparation of the burgers and the side dish.
Recipes should be submitted to the jury on the day of the competition.
Competitors have to cook the burger and the side dish according to the recipes submitted to the judges.
The concept is to see creative new ideas in burger preparation and presentation, and the maximum skills of chefs preparing them.
