Chef Ralf, a certified Master Chef from Germany, brings over 30 years of experience in the international 5-star hospitality industry.
His career spans senior culinary leadership roles with Hilton Hotels in Tokyo, Colombo, and Seoul, along with key property openings in the Maldives and Bangalore. In Perth, Australia, he served as Executive Chef at Crown Resorts, where he oversaw major restaurant launches. Later, as Director of F&B Operations for the Mount Lavinia Group in Sri Lanka, he successfully led diverse culinary teams and steered complex operations with strategic vision.
Chef Ralf has also served as a judge for several prestigious competitions, including Chef’s Guild events and Bocuse d’Or selections, lending his expertise to the next generation of culinary professionals.
He currently consults with The Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya—Sri Lanka’s iconic heritage property—continuing his mission to create exceptional dining experiences. His career reflects a lifelong dedication to culinary excellence, innovation, and a deep appreciation for cross-cultural experiences.
