InterContinental & Holiday Inn Citystars Wins ECA Culinary Trophy 2008

The 11th National Salon Culinaire was held on Tuesday, June 10, at the InterContinental Citystars.
Over 145 chefs coming from 43 different establishments across the country
participated at this year's culinary arts show, which was kindly hosted by
the InterContinental Citystars Cairo at the glamorous Al Saraya ballroom.
The other main sponsors of the Salon Culinaire were Juhayna Food Industries and Unilever Foodsolutions.
The Egyptian Chefs Association awarded in total 16 silver and 32 bronze medals. InterContinental & Holiday Inn Citystars was the proud winner of the ECA Culinary Trophy 2008, with 8 silver and 14 bronze medals. Special prizes were also awarded to individual highest scores.

ECA President Markus J. Iten Honored at WACS Congress in Dubai
Egyptian Chefs Association President, Markus J. Iten, received honorary membership to the
Emirates Culinary Guild in recognition for his efforts and dedication to the chefs profession. The Guild, which hosted and organized the 33rd World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) Congress,
gave the world of chefs a Congress to remember.
